Testing produces work, and the work gets lost
An inspection ends with a list of things that need doing. That list is a quote waiting to be written, and in most firms it is instead a PDF in an email somebody sent on a Friday. The work is already surveyed, already priced in the engineer's head, and already wanted by the customer. It goes nowhere because nothing carried it from the report to the quote.
What sits together
Reports against the installation
Findings, photos and results stored against the property, not in a folder named after a month.
Remedials become quotes
What the inspection found turns into priced work instead of a note nobody actions.
Periodic inspections that recur
Rental properties and commercial installations come back on their own schedule.
Notifiable work tracked
Electrical work in homes falls under the Building Regulations and has to be notified. Quandron flags which jobs are notifiable, keeps the certificate, and reminds you inside the 30 days; the notification itself goes through your own scheme’s portal.
Solar, batteries and charge points
Small generation can be notified to the network operator after the fact — up to 28 days — while anything above 16 A per phase needs permission first. That distinction decides whether a job is a day's work or a job with a waiting period in the middle, so it belongs in the schedule rather than in somebody's memory. Does it produce electrical certificates?
The Electrical Installation Certificate and the Minor Works certificate, in the BS 7671 layout. The record you complete is kept against the installation, and your scheme’s own portal handles the notification.
Can I photograph a board and keep it with the job?
Yes. Photos taken on site attach to the job and stay findable.
Does it handle Part P notification?
It flags which jobs are notifiable and reminds you inside the 30 days, and it keeps the certificate. Filing goes through your competent person scheme, not from here.
Can I quote remedial work on site?
Yes. The findings become priced lines while you are still there, which is when the customer is most likely to say yes.
