Paperwork you cannot afford to lose
Gas work comes with records that have to exist and have to be findable: what was tested, what was found, what was left safe, and who did it. Anyone working on gas has to be registered, and that registration shows up on the paperwork the customer keeps. When those records live on a pad in the van, finding one a year later is somebody's afternoon.
How it works on a service round
Recurring services
Annual services scheduled ahead, with reminders that go out without anyone remembering to send them.
Records against the job
Filled in on site, signed by the customer, stored against the property and the appliance.
Appliance history
What was fitted, what was replaced and what was flagged last time — before you knock on the door.
Invoice straight after
The visit becomes an invoice while you are still outside the house.
Contracts that renew themselves
A service round is worth more than the visits it contains, provided the renewals actually happen. Contracts renew on their own date, the reminder goes out, and what you see in the morning is the list of properties due — not a spreadsheet somebody has to keep up.

Does it produce the statutory certificates themselves?
Templates for the Landlord Gas Safety Record (CP12), the Electrical Installation Certificate, Minor Works and the Benchmark commissioning checklist. The MCS certificate and the EPC come from their own bodies and are stored against the property rather than produced here. Whatever the format, the record you complete stays attached to the property and the appliance.
Does it check my Gas Safe registration?
No. Registration is between you and the register; the software only carries the number onto the paperwork you send out.
Can customers get their records?
Yes, records can be sent straight after the visit, which is usually the moment the customer wants them.
What about landlord certificates?
Recurring inspections work the same way as services, with the property rather than the person as the anchor. The CP12 comes out of the visit itself, and the next one is scheduled before you leave.
